Axiom Builders reaches the top of 34-storey condo tower on Central Memorial Park
Calgary AB Qualex-Landmark™ announced today the final ceremonial concrete pour for the top floor of Park Point was concluded. The 34-storey concrete structure is now complete.
This major construction milestone comes at a time when Calgary residential sales are continuing to slowly climb. According to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB), Year-to-date total residential sales equal 11,957 as of July 2017 up 9 per cent from 10,946 as of July 2016.
Park Point’s topping off ceremony featured remarks from Mohammed Esfahani, president, Qualex-Landmark™, Mike McDonough, senior vice president, Axiom Builders, lead architect Tony Wai, IBI Group and Alderman Evan Woolley, councillor of Ward 8.

Construction began at Park Point in the fall of 2015 and has been progressing on schedule with upwards of 170-200 workers currently on site and hitting every milestone in its advancement into the Calgary skyline. The 34-storey, $110 million Beltline residential condo tower is expected to be finished construction and move in ready by summer of 2018.

Designed by the global architectural firm IBI Group, Park Point features 289 one, two, and three bedroom homes and live/work townhomes with an expansive list of sophisticated indoor and outdoor amenities. Park Point has a strong vertical element to the architecture, the façade of the building as cited from the park and downtown is unique. As the building rises, the floorplate grows, creating a stepped effect with color enhancing this pattern. From street level, an elegant double-height lobby with a distinctive canopy will further add to the prestige nature of the address.
Located atop the tower podium on the third floor, Park Point will host nearly 9,000 sq. ft. of outstanding building amenities. The outdoor amenity space includes a Zen Terrace with seating and water feature, social air lounge seating with fire-pit, bbq area with large harvest table, and a sundeck overlooking Central Memorial Park. Indoor amenities include a fully equipped fitness facility with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, park facing yoga / Pilates Studio, steam room, infrared sauna and his/hers change rooms with showers.
