FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kelowna, BC (September 16, 2020) – The Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Central Okanagan (CHBA-CO) is excited to announce that Call for Entries for the 2021 Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence (OHAE) are now open.
Celebrating the best builders, renovators, designers, and industry partners across the region, the Okanagan Housing Awards are an annual salute to the residential construction industry in the Okanagan. This year, the awards have added three new categories including Designer of the Year, Supplier of the Year, and Best Small Home – Under 1,000 Square Feet.
“2020 has been a challenging year for all of us,” says Cassidy deVeer, CHBA-CO President. “The Housing Awards are an opportunity for us to celebrate and recognize the great work residential builders and their partners are doing across the region. This year, our awards are more inclusive and new awards reflect the changing nature of housing in the Central Okanagan.”
Now in their 28th year, the Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence showcase excellence in new home building, renovations, and interior design. Winners within the Okanagan regularly go on to win awards at the Provincial and National levels.
“Okanagan Builders are creating some of the most jaw-dropping, stunning homes in Canada,” says Daniel Winer, CHBA-CO Executive Officer. “Luxury custom homes, energy efficient homes, or creative infill projects, local builders have a high standard of quality. We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate these builders.”
Residential builders, designers, and renovators can submit projects completed between January 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020 for consideration. Submissions are open until November 16, 2020.
