Calgary, ABOrigin Active Lifestyle Communities, which provides housing and health care to seniors across Canada is stepping up to assist senior’s displaced by the tragic wildfires in Fort McMurray.

Redwoods Retirement Residence in Red Deer, Alberta presently has four fully-furnished suites available for temporary accommodation of seniors effected by the Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo region fires. When natural disaster strikes, it is often our seniors who need assistance the most.

Origin will cover the full cost of temporary accommodation for four respite suites (including three meals daily, 24-hour emergency response, housekeeping and laundry, as well as basic health care and social recreation programming).

Origin will also arrange for, and cover the cost of transportation for the displaced seniors to and from Red Deer. The Redwoods team will ensure that the seniors are properly cared for and housed safely during this extremely difficult time.
