Skaha Hills offers amenities in mountain settingWhen Elmer Neufeld began contemplating retirement, he wanted to find a place where he could enjoy a warmer climate, far from Edmonton’s harsh winters and short summers. His ideal spot also had to offer quick flights to and from Edmonton, making travel easier and reducing the amount of time spent going back and forth. After exploring different options in Alberta, Neufeld and his wife eventually settled on Skaha Hills, a $250 million master planned community just south of Penticton, British Columbia.
“We really appreciate the climate, because it lets you do so much more” Neufeld said. “In Penticton you have much longer spring and fall seasons, and we enjoy going golfing or getting out hiking, so it’s a really good spot for that. You don’t have to worry about what the weather’s going to do as much.”
