Spring Creek’s $31-million mountain condo project sells quickly
Canmore has escaped much of the oil-driven Alberta recession, as the recent groundbreaking of the latest project in the mountain town shows.
The $31-million luxury condo project of White Spruce Lodge broke ground in late fall 2017 and sold half of its 49 suites in just 72 hours. Just 20 of the units remain for sale —all with two or more bedrooms.
“White Spruce Lodge is a one-of-a-kind purchasing opportunity,” says Frank Kernick, president of Spring Creek. White Spruce Lodge is the sixth condominium building in Spring Creek.
“White Spruce Lodge has been our fastest-selling lodge in 10 years. Our homeowners will be able to capitalize on the market and earn some revenue or just enjoy the lodge’s amazing location in Canmore.”
Homeowners have the option to live permanently yearround or to use it as a second home.
Additionally, it has special zoning unique to Spring Creek, allowing legal vacation rentals if owners chose to use it solely as a source of income.
Homes remaining in the Lodge range from 1,466 square feet for the smallest two-bedroom plan starting at $739,000 to the 1,697-square-foot penthouse suite at $1.029 million.
Construction is expected to wrap up in the fall of 2019. Spring Creek will have 1,200 homes by completion, with about 300 approved for tourist home zoning.
